Reading Project Launched for Classes VI–VIII at Kendriya Vidyalaya Kirandul

To promote a strong reading culture and improve language proficiency among students, Kendriya Vidyalaya Kirandul launched a Reading Project for students of Classes VI to VIII in the school library. The initiative is being conducted in coordination with the English and Hindi teachers under the guidance of the school administration. The project aims to develop reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, pronunciation, and critical thinking through regular reading sessions. Students are encouraged to read a variety of books, including fiction, biographies, science books, and inspirational literature in both Hindi and English. Interactive activities such as read-aloud sessions, book discussions, vocabulary building, and reading reflections are also included to make reading enjoyable and meaningful. The school library serves as the central learning space for the programme, providing students with access to a rich collection of age-appropriate books. The Librarian, in collaboration with the English and Hindi teachers, guides students in selecting suitable reading materials and monitors their progress. The Reading Project is expected to strengthen students' language skills, enhance their confidence, and nurture a lifelong habit of reading. Through this collaborative initiative, Kendriya Vidyalaya Kirandul continues its commitment to creating enthusiastic readers and independent learners.
